Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet writes novels and picture books. Her first book, A Prairie Alphabet with illustrator Yvette Moore became an instant bestseller and won many awards. The two also collaborated on A Prairie Year. A mother of four sons, Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet lives with her family on a cattle and wheat farm in Saskatchewan.
Song Nan Zhang was born in Shanghai. He studied art at the Beijing Central Institute of Fine Arts, where he graduated with a Master’s degree. His art has been exhibited in galleries around the world. His first picture book, A Little Tiger in the Chinese Night, which describes his family’s arrival in Canada, won the Mr. Christie's Book Award. Now a Canadian citizen, Song Nan Zhang lives in Montreal.
